Complete Judges Application Form... Complete Judges Referral Form...The Orange County Wine Society invites you to judge in the 47th annual OC Fair Home Wine Competition. As one of the largest and most prestigious amateur competitions in California, this event has played an important part in the development and support of amateur winemakers in California since 1977. This judging recognizes non-professional winemakers through awards given to their outstanding wines. The OC Fair Home Wine Competition is unique in that written evaluations and comments made during the judging are returned to the winemaker. This invaluable feedback from wine experts such as yourself help them to improve their wines and understand more about the winemaking process. This competition plays an important role in the evolution of amateur winemaking in California and high quality judges are needed. Last year over 600 wines were entered. This year we expect an increase in the number of entries. We would greatly appreciate your support of this premier event.
JUDGES’ APPLICATION FORM must be completed by Saturday, April 22 via the Application page. If you are not able to attend this year but wish to remain on the mailing list, please check the appropriate box. RECOMMENDATIONS for new judges are welcome. We are always looking for new people with judging or extensive wine tasting experience. Good judges are important to the overall competition success and integrity.
